it’s hard to put one foot in front of the other while limping

but here’s the thing

nothing is forever

i can choose to sulk in misery and ruminate on the why and how

or i can choose myself

i can choose peace

but the peace i had before will be different this time

because it will come from within

and i now know that  id rather lose you

than lose myself for you
